Ne-Yo has denied that he engaged to be married with longtime girlfriend Monyetta Shaw.

Someone claiming to be Shaw's spokesman told news agencies last week that the couple expecting their second child together and plan to tie the knot.

Ne-Yo took to Twitter to confirm that he and Shaw are expecting another child, but insisted that the rumors of marriage from false sources.

He wrote: "Ok twit fam. To put all rumours to rest. Not engaged but am expecting second child. Mo has no rep. The person claiming to rep her lied."

Ne-Yo and Shaw welcomed their first daughter Madilyn Grace in November 2010.

Ne-Yo gushed at his annual Compound Foundation benefit in Manhattan: "It has been a ride, but I'm loving every minute of it.

"She's been trying to walk since she was two months old.

"She'll grab your hands and pull herself up and do a little wobble dance. She likes scooting along the wall. She moves really fast."

But the 31-year-old singer and actor revealed his young daughter is already showing the diva tendencies.

He said: "She definitely knows her worth - which is a beautiful thing. That's something I've tried to instil in her from day one: understand that you are a Godsend.You're an absolute angel and people are supposed to treat you that way. She's extremely diva even at 10 months.

"She's a growler right now. She'll only let you hold her a certain way."

And Ne-Yo revealed that Maddie is yet to be a fan of his music.

He laughed: "Daddy loses out to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She loves the Hot Dog! song by They Might Be Giants. She knows two words: 'Dada' and 'hot dog'."

Ne-Yo helped Independence Day weekend in a free show

Ne-Yo in a statement says, "Frankly, that's a tall order for a three-day conference, but I can think of nowhere more appropriate and no team more capable than the faculty at the Clark Atlanta University School of Business. They have the intellect, the expertise, the experience and the right access."

The Compound Foundation's Executive Director Khalilah Abdul-Baqi explained the process in detail in a statement, saying:

"The purpose of The Future CEO Academy is three-fold. First, we want to empower students who, too often, are labeled and subjugated as 'powerless.' Second, we want to challenge them to create, define and execute their dreams in a real-world context. Third, we want to expose them to a network of interested business professionals who can share wisdom, expertise, tactical advice and the access necessary to develop their goals."
